The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Healthy Selfie was a great success, this was held over four weeks (11th January through to 5th February 2021) in which there was a different theme each week which included getting a personal best, getting outdoors, getting active with others (in the household!) and being creative. Originally planned back in November 2020, those involved in the planning and organisation of this campaign would never have thought it would receive such a massive response from families, Living Sport staff members and staff at the School Sport Partnerships alongside of course primary, secondary and special schools from every corner of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.

The selfies which have been submitted to us have been creative and inspirational. To highlight a few, we have seen BMX skills, horse riding, cycling, running, roller skating... the list was goes on! Cambourne Village College have created their own Healthy Selfie photo collages and it has been great to see videos and photos from young leaders across the county too. It has been great to see our social media pages filled with wonderful selfies over the last four weeks.

From this campaign, we have attracted media opportunities on both the television (BBC Look East) and also the Hunts Community Radio, it was great to be able to showcase all the healthy and active examples which had been shared to us and spread the word not only across our county but regionally too!

The #CandPHealthySelfie campaign may have ended, but staying healthy and active definitely has not and it is more important than ever in the current climate that we take time out of every day to do something that it going to support and help your physical and mental health. This campaign may have finished, but we are pleased to introduce a new #SpringIntoAction campaign which will be launched after the February half-term. Keep your eyes peeled on our social media pages for more information!

We would love to share and showcase your Healthy Selfie right here on our website too... if you would like your selfie to be published, please email the photo to along with a message of consent from a parent/guardian or teacher!
